Client Platform Engineer, Windows and VDI (Federal)

This job is about being a Client Platform Engineer specializing in Windows and VDI in the company that does identity and access management solutions; you will do engineering, deployment, and management of Windows-based systems and virtual desktop infrastructure to support Okta's global workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows-based systems and virtual desktop infrastructure
- Automate system deployment, configuration, and management using tools like SCCM, Intune, and PowerShell
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Windows systems and VDI
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system security, performance, and reliability
- Develop and maintain documentation for systems and processes
- Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems
- Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to improve the end-user experience
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Windows system administration and engineering
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and Group Policy
- Experience with virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) technologies
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell
- Experience with system management tools like SCCM, Intune, and MDM solutions
- Understanding of security best practices for Windows environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
