As a Platform Engineer in our Cloud Foundations team, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You’ll be responsible for ensuring the scalability, security, and reliability of our cloud environment, enabling Rightmove to deliver innovative solutions efficiently and cost-effectively.

What you’ll be doing
- Designing and implementing scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions using GCP services
- Working on DC to cloud infrastructure migration projects
- Architecting, implementing and maintaining infrastructure provisioning and automation through Terraform-based IaC toolsets
- Implementing and managing container orchestration using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Helm
- Designing and configuring key components of network cloud infrastructure - CDNs, Load Balancers, API gateways and service mesh
- Optimising cloud resource utilisation and implement cost management strategies
- Defining cloud and network security policies and ensure compliance
- Implementing and maintaining monitoring, logging and observability solutions for cloud infrastructure
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex infrastructure issues
