Internal Developer Portals/Platforms (IDPs): Experience in building and maintaining self-service platforms to empower developers with tools for CI/CD, infrastructure provisioning, and observability.
We are looking for experience in the following skills:
- Strong understanding of critical concepts in Platform Engineering, DevSecOps, and Agile principles, with a focus on enabling developer productivity and improving operational efficiency.
- Cloud computing Expertise: Advanced working knowledge of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure, including proficiency with cloud-native services like serverless computing, cloud shell, and managed Kubernetes offerings (e.g., EKS, GKE, AKS).
- Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD): Expertise in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, integrating security, testing, and automation into all stages of the software development lifecycle. Tools could include GitLab, GitHub Actions, Harness, Jenkins, ArgoCD, or equivalent platforms.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Bicep, or GCP Deployment Manager, while adhering to everything-as-code principles for infrastructure automation and standardization.
- Strategic Leadership: Ability to shape and drive the strategic direction of Platform Engineering, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and promoting best practices in DevSecOps, SRE, and Observability.
- Team Leadership: Proven experience in managing and mentoring teams, including junior engineers, by fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. Skilled at driving team performance and ensuring the delivery of high-impact projects.
- Advanced knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift. Capable of managing and orchestrating containerized applications at scale.
- Observability and Monitoring: Practical experience with observability tools and practices (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, Datadog, OpenTelemetry) to ensure system health and optimize performance via logging, metrics, and tracing.
- DevSecOps and Security: Strong expertise in DevSecOps practices, including automated security testing, policy enforcement, and implementing secure coding practices. Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture and cloud-native security tools such as AWS IAM, Azure Security Center, or GCP Security Command Center.
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE): Familiarity with SRE principles like Service Level Objectives (SLOs), error budgets, and incident management to maintain system reliability and minimize downtime.
