Senior Platform Security Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls for Affirm's platform infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security automation to detect and respond to threats
- Collaborate with infrastructure and product teams to ensure security is built into systems from the ground up
- Perform security reviews of infrastructure changes and new services
- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in infrastructure
- Participate in on-call rotations to respond to security incidents
- Contribute to the development of security standards and best practices
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering or a related field
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS preferred)
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, or Ruby preferred)
- Understanding of network security concepts and technologies
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance requirements (SOC2, PCI, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
