This job is about being a Senior Software Engineer for the Data Platform team in the company that does building a more inclusive global economy through programmable internet commerce; you will do design, build, and maintain data infrastructure that powers Circle's data platform, enabling data-driven decision making across the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, and maintain data infrastructure that powers Circle's data platform - Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to understand data needs and implement solutions - Develop and maintain data pipelines that extract, transform, and load data from various sources - Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and reliability - Optimize data models and queries for performance and scalability - Contribute to the architecture and design of Circle's data platform - Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in data engineering Requirements: - 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on data infrastructure - Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala - Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) - Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing solutions - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) - Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles - Understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline architectures - Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Luigi) - Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
