This job is about being a Senior Data Platform Engineer in the company that does mortgage lending and servicing; you will do design, development, and maintenance of data platforms to support business operations and analytics. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain data platforms and pipelines - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements - Implement data governance and quality control measures - Optimize data storage and retrieval systems - Troubleshoot and resolve data platform issues - Create and maintain documentation for data platforms - Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field - 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles - Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala - Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) - Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases - Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) - Experience with data modeling and ETL processes - Understanding of data governance and security principles - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
