PlatformCon 2024 is just around the corner, taking place from June 10th to June 14th. The biggest most influential minds in the platform engineering scene will be gathering on one virtual stage, and you could be one of them! The Call for Proposals is open until February 25th so if you're a practitioner with a platform story, now's the time to submit it.
Let's quickly revisit what PlatformCon is all about, what you can expect, and why you’re needed.
One stage to host them all
Based on the last two years and the latest pre-launch registration figures, we're expecting around 35,000 sign-ups. That firmly cements PlatformCon as the biggest global platform engineering event. No competition.
The goal of the event is to bring together the most knowledgeable and influential minds in platform engineering and DevOps on one virtual stage. The week-long conference is jam-packed with must-see talks from thought leaders and seasoned platform pros, covering all manner of major topics and trends. You’ll be able to dive deep into various aspects of platform engineering, from winning key stakeholder support to guidance on how best to design and build the perfect enterprise-grade platform.
A chance to learn, connect, and engage
PlatformCon 2024 is the perfect chance to boost your knowledge and network, with plenty of opportunities for you to meet and chat with speakers and fellow participants. Each 15-minute lightning talk falls into one of five tracks: Stories, Tech, Blueprints, Culture, and Impact. This allows you to explore all the different dimensions of platform engineering.
This year's event also includes an Open Source Software Day, which will shine a spotlight on some amazing Open Source projects currently underway in the platform engineering world. Attendees can expect to hear about the latest trends, developments, and insights that you won't want to miss.
You can join live virtual kickoff events for your region, watch talks at your own pace (they'll all be recorded), and hit up speakers for Q&A on the Platform Engineering Slack channel. The virtual conference wraps up with a live closing event on Friday.
We want your talks!
If you're a practitioner with platform experience under your belt, we want to hear from you. Whether you've got a solid blueprint, a real-life enterprise story, or some impactful insights, now's your chance to speak at the #1 event in platform engineering. PlatformCon 2024 is already bustling with big players like Gregor Hohpe, Nicki Watt, Paula Kennedy, Charity Majors, and more. But with five days of sessions, we still have many slots to fill.
