Integration & Delivery Plane
Firefly’s cloud infrastructure automation platform enables organizations to automate, manage, and govern their entire cloud footprint with IaC.
What is Firefly?
Firefly’s cloud infrastructure automation platform enables organizations to automate, manage, and govern their entire cloud footprint with Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Agile and efficient cloud practitioners use Firefly for its AI-assisted remediations, streamlined IaC orchestration, and a unified system of record for Cloud Asset Management. With Firefly, Platform and DevOps teams can uncomplicate their cloud, while accelerating cloud innovation and maintaining security and performance at scale.
Profile
Firefly is a closed-source, cloud-agnostic infrastructure automation platform that empowers AI agents to manage multi-cloud environments through Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The tool ensures comprehensive cloud asset management by providing proactive issue detection, drift remediation, and adaptive security recommendations across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Kubernetes deployments.
Firefly’s key features include Cloud & IaC scanning for complete infrastructure discovery, IaC workflows for automated codification and deployment, and governance and remediations with AI-driven policy enforcement and instant fixes. Firefly enables developers to detect drift, trigger autonomous remediation, and maintain compliance through plain-language queries and context-aware responses
Focus
Firefly helps organizations automate, manage, and govern their entire cloud footprint using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), enabling teams to "uncomplicate their cloud" while maintaining security and performance at scale. The tool aims to be the “source of truth, the cloud control pane" for organizations struggling with cloud asset management complexities.
Background
Firefly was founded in 2021 by co-founders Ido Neeman, Eran Bibi, and the late Joseph "Sefi" Genis in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, amid a surge in "digital transformation" as organizations rapidly migrated to the cloud to manage remote workforces. The company developed a cloud infrastructure automation platform to help DevOps and Platform teams automate, manage, and govern their entire cloud footprint using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), addressing the growing complexity of managing multi-cloud environments.
The idea for Firefly emerged from real-world pain points experienced by the founders: "Working in cloud engineering, I had to ensure our cloud resources were described as code. Still, the skillsets and understanding surrounding IaC varied across cloud users in the organization. And ClickOps was much easier and more accessible. Things got unruly pretty quickly," says CEO Eran Bibi.
